Kotoko made the most of their form as they edged out Hearts of Oak in a thrilling contest at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The game started with the usual ferocious intensity, the host dominated the early exchanges, creating multiple chances which paid off as Linda Mtange was the quickest to react to an Ibrahim Salifu free kick from the left side of the attack to head home for the first goal of the game in the 37th minute.

Mukwala capitalized on a defensive back pass from Asibey Yeboah which failed to reach goalkeeper, Ayi, who made a mess of it for the Kotoko forward to slot home into an empty net for the third goal of the game.

Martin Karikari reduced the deficit by a goal as his thunder shot went flying past, Fred Asare for the game to end on a winning note for the Fabulous side.
