A stunning strike from captain, Saaka Dauda helped Bofoakwa Tano pin Hearts of Oak at the Sunyani Coronation Park.

The home side was looking to continue their impressive start to the season on the back of picking four from six points in two games.

Coach Frimpong Manso named a strong starting berth which had Emmanuel Ankrah, Clinton Baffour, Elijah Addai, Emmanuel Kobi, Kelvin Opong, and others.

The first half produced loads of action between the duo side but in the end, it ended in a goalless stalemate.

Saaka Dauda poked in the first goal of the game right upon resumption of the second half which sent the home-based supporters in the stands and around the match venue into a pile of frenzy.

Hearts of Oak gaffer, Martin Koopman made a reactionary change after his team went down by a goal, taking off, Kwabena Anane, and Glid Otanga for Salifu Ibrahim, and Nurudeen Aziz.

The Phobians probed relentlessly for that all-important equalizer but the host held on to preserve their strong start to the season, which has seen them bag two wins and a draw from three games.

Bofoakwa Tano will travel away to Kpando Hearts of Lions while Hearts of Oak will be at home to Dreams FC in game week four of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
