Bechem United imposed their superiority over the regional rivals, Berekum Chelsea as they dispatched them with ease at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.

The Hunters scored a goal each in either half to post a 2-0 win over Berekum Chelsea in a highly anticipated game for a place in the top four.

The host made their presence felt as they created a string of changes in the first half of the game but their efforts were met with equal resistance by goalkeeper, Emmanuel Adu in post for the visitors.

Joseph Kinful shot the host into an early lead in the 31st minute which they protected right to the end of the first half.

The second half saw the two sides go up against each other with the same intensity as the first but no goals were scored with a minute-to-end match proceedings, where substitute, Cephas Mantey doubled the host’s advantage to end the game.

The results see the Hunters close the gap at the summit of the table to three points behind Medeama heading into the final game of the season next week.

Bechem will hope to pull a fast one over former table toppers, Aduana Stars while Medeama SC will be at home to Tamale City at the Akoon park.
