Kotoko delivered a perfect response to their home loss against Hearts of Oak as they picked up a vital win away from home over Young Apostles at the Wenchi Sports Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Porcupine Warriors stamped their authority on the game with two quick goals in the opening fifteen minutes to set the tone for the game
Johnson Oppong Owusu opened the scoring in the 6th minute, rising highest to meet Albert Amoah’s cross

Ten minutes later, the visitors doubled their advantage through Captain Samba O’Neil. His header, which took a deflection off a retreating defender, found its way into the net to put Kotoko firmly in command.

The result lifts Kotoko back into the top four, though they remain seven points behind the league leaders as the title race continues to take shape.

Young Apostles will have to sort themselves out as they struggle in the relegation den
