    Nations FC gave their title charge a big leap as they secured a mighty win over Samartex at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.

     



    Following their surprise loss at home to Aduana Stars, the Kumasi-based club has managed to turn the tides back in their favor beautifully.

    They have put in a string of good performances which has seen them rack five consecutive wins, scoring seven goals and conceding none.

    Emmanuel Annor opened the scoring on the hour mark with an impressive solo effort.

    Faisal Charwetey who is having a stellar season added to his tally, with twelve in twenty-nine games his side’s second goal of the game.

    With seven minutes to end proceedings, Kelvin Ampoful was not left out of the party as he added the icing on the cake to seal the win for his side.

    The win solidifies Nations FC in the title contest with three points to the cushioning as they travel away to face Basake HolyStars in the next league fixture.

    Defending champions, Samartex will wonder where they went wrong in today’s game but will hope to repay the loss as they play Aduana Stars at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex in the penultimate round of games.
