Nations FC beat Aduana Stars in a spirited encounter at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

Joseph Effah smartly headed in the opener from Isaac Botchway’s cross to beat goalkeeper Prince Osei, who had no answers to the header.

The goal sparked a wave of attack from the visitors, with Burkinabé goalkeeper Rabin Sanon denying Aduana’s Emmanuel Marfo twice in the 26th and 41st minutes, respectively.

Coach Frimpong Manso introduced Alex Aso for Ayikwei in the 70th minute, which saw the young forward link up play with his new teammates very well to protect his side’s lead.

The win signifies Nations’ second win in five games, which lifts them up to 11th with 24 points. They play FC Samartex in their next match at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena.

The Ogya boys will be ruing their misses, as they are eight points adrift of league leaders Medeama.

They will look to bounce back away to Swedru All Blacks in their next match.
