    Karela United basked in an important home victory over defending champions, Medeama SC, in game week thirty-one of the ongoing Ghana Premier League.



    Abubakar Malik poked the home side into an early lead, which got them in the driving seat at the end of the first half.

    Alhassan Ali scored the second goal at the 62nd minute mark.
    Two minutes later, Abubakar Malik scored his brace, and his side’s third goal gave them firm control over the game.
    Godknows Dzakpasu was on hand to score in the 68th minute to start a comeback, but it came a little late as the home side held on to a 3-1 win.

    The win aids Karela United further above the relegation belt on 13th with 38 points. Medeama is up to 5th place with 50 points.
