Lightning struck twice in Tarkwa as Medeama SC suffered a harrowing defeat to beleaguered Hohoe United on Sunday.
The table toppers, looking to end their four games winless in the league, struck gold just two minutes after recess through Kelvin Obeng, who sent the home fans into rapturous cheers and jubilation.

Their lead only lasted six minutes, as Fatawu Sulemana’s miskick ended at the back of his own net, 1-1.
Hohoe United’s Sena Ati was sent off for a second bookable in the game, a big opportunity for the home team to make use of the numerical advantage.
The hosts were offered another opportunity to retake the lead through number one goalkeeper Felix Kyei, but his penalty didn’t merit the tag as the team’s best penalty, as it was saved by his opposite goalkeeper, Danuel Amissah.

That miss would prove costly for the home team as Francis Odoom guided home the ball into an empty net after Francis Kyei overzealously miskicked the ball into his path, giving the away team their first win in as many games away from home.
