Hohoe United suffered a heartbreaking loss at home to Aduana FC at the Hohoe Sports Stadium on Sunday.
A goal each from forwards Mezack Afriyie and Emmanuel Marfo in the second half was enough for the away side to inflict pain on the home team.
Before the game, the home team, who were unbeaten since May 2024, were looking to preserve their home record at the expense of their weekend opponents, Ogya Boys, but they had other ideas for their host.

The first half saw both teams failing to break the deadlock.
Forward Mezack Afriyie opened the scoring with the first goal of the game in the 64th minute to send the home team and its fans into deep silence.
The attacker was first to get on the end of a pass before unleashing a superb drive beyond Hohoe United’s goalkeeper for the breakthrough.

The home team, at risk of losing their unbeaten home record, which stretches back to their Division campaign from last season, pushed men on the attack, but for a swift counter from the Ogya boys, which saw Emmanuel Marfo round off what would be a perfect afternoon for his side.
The result aids Aduana Stars to 2nd on the log as they face Dreams FC at home, while Hohoe United are 8th and travel to Samreboi to face Samartex.
