Match Report : Hearts of Oak drill Nsoatreman FC away from home

Hearts of Oak inflicted gruesome pain on Nsoatreman FC in week nineteen of the Ghana Premier League.

Before this cliffhanger, the host had lost three of their last five games and was looking to build on their last weekend away win over regional rivals, Bechem United.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak had just lost a single game in their last five outings and were looking to build on their four-game unbeaten streak in the league.

Maxwell Konadu’s side raced into the lead on the 23rd-minute mark after some clumsy defending on the part of Dennis Korsah allowed Abdul Rahman to put Walid Neymah Fuseini through on goal for the first goal of the game.

The Phobians returned from the break loads of attacking intent and purpose and it was least surprise to see Congolese magician Linda Mtange teeing up Salifu Ibrahim, whose attempted pass ricocheted off Frimpong Asokwah Ransford for the equalizer.

A textbook counterattack involving Salifu Ibrahim, Dennis Korsah saw the former brilliantly set up Ivorian import Cisse Kassim who scored a brilliant goal beyond Dennis Votere in post for Nsoatreman.

The win sees Hearts of Oak move up to 7th, the host 4th on the log set to play Dreams FC in the next game.
