The host dominated the early periods of the game, Congolese maestro Linda Mtange was at the heart of most of the attacking play for the Phobians.

In the 23rd minute of the game, he received a pass in the heart of midfield from Yaw Baafi and threaded one through to Salifu Ibrahim who dribbled past the opposing defender and fired a ferocious shot with his left foot to give the host a 1-0 lead heading into half time.

The half-time team by John Eduafor Jnr looks to have provided some morale for the visitors as they drew level in the 54th minute after a poor defensive clearance by Kofi Agbesimah newly installed captain for the Phobians.
