    Hearts of Oak picked their first campaign win over Bechem United at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.



    The Phobians having lost their first two league games were on a redemption mission against their visitors.

    The host failed to convert the multiple chances they created in the first half seeing it end in a goalless draw.

    Five minutes after recess, the new signing, Ransford Mensah was on hand to score a scintillating free-kick which spurred on the home fans in the stadium.  

    Hamza Issah found the back of the net in the 75th minute after he met a teasing cross from second-half substitute Stephen Asare Appiah.

    The win marks Hearts of Oak’s first after three rounds of games, Bechem United, will have to map up a new strategy to upset Dreams FC when they visit over the weekend.
