Accra Hearts of Oak and Bibiani Gold Stars shared the points in week seven of the ongoing Ghana Premier League on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The home side created a myriad of chances through Hamza Issah, Rocky Dwamena, and Mawuli Wayo, but they all failed to make the most of those chances.
In what looked like the first half, which will end in a goalles draw game, Gideon Anaba’s outstretched leg failed to keep Mawuli Wayo’s low cross out of his own net.
The goal was no more than Hearts deserved after creating a ton of chances.
Samuel Atta Kumi, enjoying the form of his life, scored two goals in quick succession to turn the game on its head in his side’s favor, swooping shock and despair through the fans of the home side.
The brace brought an end to Benjaimen Asare’s six-game clean sheet in post for Accra Hearts of Oak.
George Paaku rose the highest on the 70th minute mark to draw his side level, but the late surge for the winning goal from the Phobians was continually repelled by the Miners.
The results leave Hearts of Oak on 13 points in sixth, with GoldStars a position higher.
