    Frank Duku’s solitary goal gave Hearts of Oak an important home win over Young Apostles in their Ghana Premier League clash at the Accra Sports Stadium.

     



    The home have struggled for consistency after a wave of three draws left them pacing off at the summit of the table and leaving their title contention in ruins and tatters.

    A week ago, they surprising had to recover from two-goals down to draw 2-2 at home to Swedru All Blacks in a game they were hotly tipped to win but they ended up drawing.

    Frank Abora Duku held his nerve to slot home the opener on the 35th minute mark to give the handful fans who barely numbered into thousands something to be happy about for the first half.

    They created a lot more chances in the second half but failed to convert any of them.

    The win lifts,  Hearts to third on the log with 46 points after 28 matches with six games to end the league. 

    They play Vision FC at the Nii Adjraku Park in the next game.

    For Young Apostles, the defeat slumps them into the relegation zone with as they face  Swedru All Blacks in the next league fixture.
