    Hearts of Oak was on the losing end to Nations FC in a fiercely contested duel t the Tuba Astroturf on Thursday.

     



    The Phobians came into the game on the back of winless three game streak and needed to avert the those results against Nations FC.

    The home team created numerous chances which they should have buried but for poor finishing and inexperience they failed to convert any with the first half ending goalless.

    Razak Simpson’s thunderbolt goal from 25-yeards was enough to beat the helpless Kwesi Nketia in post for Hearts of Oak.

    The Phobians responded with a myriad of opportunities of their own Hearts of Oak registering 16 total shots with the visiting goalkeeper making 6 crucial saves preserving their lead to the end of the game.

    The results sees Nations FC register their first win against the Phobians in four attempts whiles the host are currently on a four-game winless run.

    They are currently seven points adrift Kotoko who are stationed at the summit of the table with 45 points.
