    Heart of Lions claimed a 2-0 home victory over Young Apostles at the Kpando Sports Stadium.

     



    The hosts have found things going well in their favour at the start of the league, and continued to do so as forward Michael Ephson shot them into an early lead in the 12th minute.

    Both teams created numerous chances in the game, but it was the home team that probed the hardest for the second goal, which came in the 73rd minute through an own goal from Issah Nyaabila.

    The second goal and its timing crushed any hopes of a comeback from the away team as they went on to lose the game by two unanswered goals.
    The win sends the Lions to 2nd on the log with 21 points as they travel to play Vision in the next league fixture.

    Young Apostles remain on 8th as they travel to Kumasi to face Kotoko, who drew at home to Aduana Stars.
