Dreams FC commenced their opening fixture in the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League against Samartex with a goalless draw at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The host lost some players in the transfer window, John Antwi, Solomon Agbasi, Emmanuel Agyei, and Abdul Aziz Issah to Barcelona but that didn’t deter them from reinforcing their squad with, Richmond Ayi, Mohammed Shaban, Rocky Dwamena, Kelvin Ahiabli, and others for the new season.

Similarly, defending champions, Samartex who will be participating as the CAF Champions also augmented their setup with Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli, Isaac Baffoe, Akwasi Sarpong, Solomon Adjei, Baba Kushibo, Lord Hillary Adabo, in the absence of Emmanuel Keyekeh and Dauda Yusif who left to seek greener pastures in Rwanda and Tanzania respectively.

The first half ended in a goalless stalemate with both teams creating little to break the deadlock.

Collins Boah received his marching orders in the 72nd minute after a cynical challenge on an opposing player from the referee, Rustum Senorgbe.

Dreams FC and Samartex shared the spoils after the end-of-game proceedings.
