Kotoko returned back to winning ways as they posted a 1-0 victory over newly promoted side,  Basake Holy Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Before this game, the host had drawn their two previous games against Young Apostles and Samartex, and with GoldStars breathing down their neck, they needed to resume winning games.

Kotoko got the lead through Samuel Tenadu, whose deflected strike went past goalkeeper, Dubi Kassi Tayi.

The hosts preserved and protected their lead through the course of the game even though they created a myriad of chances through,  Saaka Dauda, and Kwame Opoku.

Kotoko occupy the summit of the table with 42 points, while Holy Stars slip to 14th with 24 points.
