    Daniel Adjetey’s solo goal was enough for Kotoko to beat Berekum Chelsea on Wednesday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

     



    The week twenty-on outstanding fixture had lots of intensity riding on it for both sides.

    For Kotoko it was opportunity to maintain their five games unbeaten run in the league as well as their eight consecutive league victory at home.

    It was least surprising that Coach Ogun Narteh named a strong starting lineup against familiar foes, Berekum Chelsea.

    ‘The first half proved very difficult for both sides to crack each other.

    The second half was similar to the first half and with 11 minutes to end proceedings,  defender Daniel Adjetey unleashed a powerful shot beyond the reach off Obeng Sekyere Greogory for the first goal of teh game.

    The Porcupine Warriors held on resolutely to clinch the win, their ninth consecutive at home aiding them to the summit of the table with 45 points.

    Meanwhile, Berekum Chelsea will hope to have learned their lessons from today’s game as they sit 9th with 32 points. They play Basake Holy Stars in the next league encounter.
