Match Preview: WAFA SC vs Kotoko; WAFA set to unmask the Red Devils.

The Sogakope Red Bull Arena will witness one of the midweeks top liners between Academy oriented boys WAFA managed by Prosper Narteh and Kumasi Asante Kotoko who are currently under the tutelage of Maxwell Konadu. Both sides come into this encounter occupying the sixth and seventh positions respectively separated by a point.

Anytime Kotoko are in town to play WAFA, the aura surrounding this match is second to none, as this match will be no exception. The home side are one of the very few sides in the league who play very attractive football coupled with results.

In the last few years, WAFA have dominated Kotoko beating them three (3) times already and will be looking to add a fourth (4th), whiles Kotoko have only won two (2) of the last seven matches engaged with the home side, remaining ending in a draw.

The home side will be buoyed by three things (i) away victory to Olympics, (ii) their supremacy over Kotoko at home and finally (iii) their home pitch advantage, Kotoko will be on the lookout to unwrite previous results and skew them in their favour, hoping to annex the league under Kurt Okraku’s new administration.

WAFA are no respecter of persons, as they welcome the Porcupine Warriors, their motivation for this match will be on a different level but Kumasi Asante Kotoko will have to stamp their authority on the game or else they will chase this game from the blast of the referee’s whistle to the end.

    Predictions

    WAFA 3 Kotoko 1
