Two of Ghana’s biggest franchises in football, Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will go head-to-head at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi on Sunday afternoon.

The two teams have endured a rather disappointing spell in the season which has seen both sides not in contention for the league with their positions on the log below standards.

Kotoko has copped just 40 points in 30 games which has placed coach Prosper Ogun Narteh under incessant pressure heading into the Super Clash.

Meanwhile, Hearts of Oak’s statistics are not any better, 12th on the log with 38 points from 30 rounds of games in the league.

The only respite they can take heading into this fixture is their ability to knock off points traveling away from home. They have picked 15 points on the road.

Hamza Issah, who was promoted from the youth ranks has been an instant hit for the Phobians and will be highly integral for the side. His 12 goals rank him high on the top goal scorer charts as Coach Outtara Aboubakar would be counting on him.

Games between the once powerhouses of Ghana football have always defied logic and statistics but Kotoko in recent times held the edge in the head-to-head stats boasting two wins and a draw

Predictions: Kotoko 2-1 Hearts of Oak
