The Baba Yara Sports Stadium will see two former league winners go head-to-head in what promises to be a cliffhanger in match week five of the league between Kotoko and Aduana Stars.

On the back of going three games without a win, the host finally saw the light with a last-gasp Kalo Outtara winner against Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Coach Prosper Ogum Narteh will breathe a sigh of relief after the statement win over Accra Lions knowing that they can’t afford to rest on their laurels against the Ogya boys.

The likes of Richmond Lamptey, Steve Mukwala, Justice Blay, and Sherrif Mohammed will hope to mentor the new boys, Henry Ansu, Kalo Outtara, Baba Yahaya, Bernard Somuah, and others on what it means to play for the club.

The Dorma-based club positioned sixth on the log with six points from four games looks good on the eye and paper, but it is most frightening that they have failed to bag a win in their last two games.

The frightening aspect of their away form dates back to last season, an away win against Hearts of Oak in game week eighteen and since then they have failed to nick a win against all their nine other opponents, a feat, Joachim Yaw Acheampong will seriously have to make efforts to remedy this weekend.

The Porcupine Warriors will hope to build on their vital win away from home and make it their second win of the season but for Aduana Stars, their last win against Kotoko came through a Samuel Bioh goal in 2021.

Referee S.K Mawuli Klu has been appointed to officiate the game, assisted by Roland Addy, and Courage Kuedufia on the lines.

    Predictions: Kotoko 2-1 Aduana Stars
