Two regional rivals, Samartex 1996 and Medeama SC will go at each other in the penultimate rounds of games at the Nsenkyire Sports Complex on Sunday.

The host has not fared badly in the league considering it’s their debut season, they have performed beyond expectations as they lie 8th on the log with 45 points.

WAFU U20 : Black Princesses edge Nigeria in finals

Under the able leadership of experienced head coach, Annor Walker, they have created a formidable winning streak at home, their last defeat at home came against, defending champions, Kotoko in round twenty-two of the competition.

Players like captain Lawrence Ansah, Emmanuel Keyekeh, Frank Awere, Enoch Afful, Kwasi Ofosu, Seidu Yusif Dauda, Godwin Abusah, and Evans Osei Wusu have formed the bedrock for the club’s impressive debut campaign.

They will fancy their options against their weekend opponents, Medeama SC, who are in pole position to win this year’s league.

Medeama coach Augustine Evans Adotey is on the brink of winning the league for the first time in the club’s longstanding history. He will hope his boys will keep a cool ahead of today’s game with Aduana Stars and Bechem United all within touching distance of winning the league should they lose in today’s encounter to Samartex.

The Mauve and Yellows have a young squad with a blend of experience heads, who will be expected to give off their best in today’s defining game.

Match Review: Kotoko tame Accra Lions away from home.

On the back of two consecutive losses away to Accra Lions and Nsoatreman, they followed it up with a thumping win over former champions of the league, Accra Hearts of Oak, buoyed by that morale they will be expected to give off their best and get a favorable result in today fixture.

    Predictions: Samartex 1-1 Medeama SC
