Legon Cities will square off against Hearts of Oak over the course of the weekend. This duel will mark the first match of their second-round campaign. They finished 12th on the log which they will be looking to improve on this when they come face-to-face with the defending champions.

Their visitors are coming into this fixture on the back of drawing goalless in the hotly contested match against Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium which drew a huge gathering to the venue.

Samuel Boadu and his charges haven’t enjoyed the best of fortunes in the first round, as things stand, they are 12 points off the top summit.

The acquisitions of Sulley Muntari, Dennis Korsah has certainly brought a new lease of life into the side though their draws haven’t turned into wins as they would have expected in their last two games.

Hearts are yet to beat Maxwell Konadu in any competitive fixture in over a decade, this stat will come as a huge boast for himself and his Royals as they come up against Phobia this weekend.

In the ten outings that the pair have clashed in the last few years, the away side have won four with the home side winning three and the remaining ending in draws.
