Record holders of the Ghana Premier League, Kotoko will host northern regionals opponents, Real Tamale United (RTU) in what many have tagged a historic feat considering the return of the latter to the league following their years of absence from the top flight.

Kotoko will be making a return to playing the league following their inability to engage Hearts of Oak who had flight arrangement issues in their game against JS Saoura.

The Red’s last engagement in the league saw them lose to regional rivals, King Faisal, in a 5-goals-thriller, this time, they have the armory to amend their mistakes and make things work in their favor against RTU.

The acquisition of wunderkind, Isaac Oppong, who has contributed 6 out of 10 goals, together with Samuel Boateng (2), Omgba Mfegue (2) has been integral to the success of the club as they lie 2nd with a game in hand.

RTU on the other hand are bitterly bruised from losing their prior home game to Medeama SC, with that in mind, they will come all fire-blazing knowing that they can upset the odds against their host.

David Abagna, S.Badu has been the cogwheel to RTU’s overalls performance in the ongoing league.

In the last 5 years, the duo have played 12 times, the host have won 7 whiles the guest have won 2 and the remaining ending in a draw.

    PREDICTIONS: KOTOKO 3-1 RTU
