    Accra-based side, Accra Lions sit at the summit of the ongoing betPawa Premier League as they welcome former winners of the league, Accra Hearts of Oak in a regional derby at the Accra Sports Stadium.



    Since their opening day loss to Kotoku Royals, Accra Lions look like a breath of fresh air, they have since mesmerized lovers of the league with amazing displays, and five consecutive wins, their recent feat was ending Bechem United’s longstanding record which spans over 22 games in the league.

    Meanwhile, Coach Slavko Matic is yet to taste defeat in three games that he has successfully overseen, two wins and a draw over the weekend against Karela United which marred their anniversary celebrations. 



    Their recent draw sees them 10th on the log with 9 from 18 points pointed out in his post-match reactions after his side emerged victors over newly promoted side Akyem Kotoku Royals that he wants the side to play beautiful football as well as bring healthy competition among the boys. 

    Interestingly, the away side beat the home side in two legs by a 5-0 margin, which will weigh heavily on the inform side on their shoulders.
