Martin Antwi unfazed by Kotoko rejection

Ghana Premier League giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko released a 30-man list of players that will feature prominently for them to help push their continental and domestic ambitions for 2020-21 season, notable amongst the absentee list, Martin Antwi.

The versatile winger was not registered ahead of the new season, having been told by the technical head of the side, Maxwell Konadu, his services won’t be required by the club.

According to Antwi in an exclusive with Saharafootball.net, he was deeply hurt when he was omitted from the squad list for the new season, but has come to understand that it is all a part of the game.

‘Initially, I was surprised at been left out of the squad, I didn’t understand what was going on because I have lots of things within me that I want to offer to this great club.”

“Kotoko is a club on my heart, I like the way they accepted me from the start, as one of their own, I felt special from day one at this club”

On the local scene, Martin Antwi played for WAFA SC, Inter Allies before joining Kotoko with an unsuccessful spell with second-tier side Masr FC in between.
