Ghana and St Gallen goalkeeper Lawrence Ati Zigi has been nominated for the Swiss Super League Player of the Season.

The towering goalkeeper, whose performances for the Swiss-based club have gone unnoticed is among 24 players shortlisted for the awards to be voted by fans.

The 25-year-old managed to keep 8 clean sheets in 36 appearances for the club which warranted the nomination at the end of the league season in Switzerland.

In recent development, the handlers of the national team have also rewarded him with an invitation for Ghana’s upcoming 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and the World Cup friendlies next month.
