    Lawrence Agyekum has broken his silence on why he opted for a move to Austrian-based Red Bull Salzburg amidst interest from other European clubs. 



    The Ghanaian midfielder opened up on reasons that swayed him from signing for other clubs who were eagerly waiting on him to ink his signature to the dotted lines.

    Speaking for the first time, he told Saharafootball.net he expressed his excitement about joining his new club; “I am really happy to be here at my new club, it’s a great club”

    “Before I made a choice to come here, I  spoke a lot with my former teammates, Daniel Owusu and Forson Amankwah, who told me lovely things about the club.



    Agykeum went on to address his hopes and ambition for the upcoming season slated for Sunday.

    “I hope to give off my best here, it’s a great start for young players. A platform for good development which for sure will benefit me and the entire team”

    “I just want to stay injury-free and be a consistent player who will score good games goals and assists to help the team”.

    Before, he made the switch to join Salzburg, French-based Troyes together with other Dutch, Spanish clubs expressed interest in signing him.

    Agyekum will be expected to feature for his new side Liefering, which he joined on loan for the remainder of the season hoping to impress his new paymasters.
