late Fatawu Abdul Hamidu goal ensured Medeama secured a 3-2  victory over Dreams Fc

With just two minutes left in injury time, Fatawu Abdul Hamidu scored an important winning goal with a fantastic free-kick, sparking spontaneous celebrations among the Medeama fans.

The team, known as the Mauve and Yellows, is now a serious contender for their first-ever Premier League championship, following a thrilling performance against Dawu-based side, Dreams FC.

In the eighth minute of the match, Medeama striker Jonathan Sowah scored a remarkable bicycle kick, setting the stage for a five-goal thriller at Akoon Community Park.

The visitors responded with an incredible equalizer from Ishmael Dede, who scored a thunderous 20-yard drive just before the end of the first half.

The second half of the game was equally impressive, with Ali Huzaf causing problems for Medeama defenders with his ball control, hold-up play, and surging runs.

Sowah then scored his second goal of the game with an easy tap-in after a failed attempt by Solomon Agbasi to deal with Prosper Owusu Boakye’s powerful strike.

Despite Dreams FC scoring an equalizer from striker Ali Huzaf, Medeama’s defender Fatawu Abdul Hamidu became the hero of the game after scoring a superb free-kick just outside the box, securing maximum points for his team at home.

The win propelled Medeama to second place on the league table with 47 points, just three points behind the leaders Aduana Stars with six games remaining.

Dreams FC, on the other hand, is just two points above the relegation zone, with 34 points from 28 games.

Medeama’s victory means they are still in the race for the Premier League title as they travel to Nsoatre to face Nsoatreman FC on Sunday.
