    Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo’s Real Oviedo has secured promotion to the La Liga.

     



    This historic feat came about after the team managed a 3-2 aggregate tie against Mirandes.

    Sibo, who started the game lasted the entire duration putting in an energetic shift in the heart of midfield.

    Joachin Panichelli opened the scoring for Oviedo in the 16th minute to hand Mirandes a two-goal lead.

    Former Spain legend, Santi Carzola, leading his hometown club managed to reduce the deficit through a spot kick.

    After the break, Ilyas Chaira levelled things up for Oviedo forcing the game into a dramatic extra time.

    Francisco Portillo breathed life into Real Oviedo’s La Liga ambitions by securing what turned out to be the winner on the night.

    Sibo was involved in over 30 games for Real Oviedo in the La Liga 2 season.
