Nana Oduro Sarfo, an Executive Council member (EXCO) of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), has clarified Kurt Okraku’s absence from football circles.

The Football Association chief has failed to comment on a series of events in the country that have sparked an unprecedented wave of inquiries about his absence following recent developments.

This includes the appointment of the new Sports Minister, Kofi Adams, the death of Asante Kotoko fan Francis Frimpong (Nana Pooley), meetings with the Ghana Premier League clubs, and several other occurrences.

Oduro Sarfo has come out to clarify the Association President’s prolonged absence and quietness due to feeling ill.

He said, “Kurt Okraku is currently unwell, and out of the country, which has prevented him from commenting on the tragic event.”

“He would have been the first person to visit the camp of Kotoko. When he’s fit and arrives in the country safely, he will be here (to meet Kotoko).”

Meanwhile, the two Ghana Premier League clubs have issued a joint statement on some proposals they are waiting on the Football Association to fulfill before they resume active football.
