Ghana Premier League side, Asante Kotoko are close to losing Cameroonian import George Mfegue to Egyptian side Ismaily SC.

The 25-year-old joined the Porcupine Warriors last season and helped them win the league for the first time in a decade.

Mfegue formed an admirable partnership with fellow countryman, Franck Mbella Etouga, who has since departed for Al Masry SC, with the duo scoring over 30 goals to help Kotoko to the league title.

If this deal materializes, Mfegue would join a long list of first-team players, Imoro Ibrahim, Fabio Gama, Mudasiru Salifu, Franck Mbella Etouga, and others who have since left the club prior to the start of the new season.
