Head coach of Heart of Lions, Bashir Hayford has praised the efforts of his weekend opponents, Kotoko in the 1-1 draw at Kpando Park.

The two teams went head-to-head in week twenty-five of the Ghana Premier League for the three points at stake but in the end, they settled for a point each.

Justice Blay scored for the visiting side in the first half.

After recess Heart of Lions’ Fawzi Ali put his side back in the game, 1-1.

Speaking after the game, coach Hayford heaped praise on the fighting spirit of Kotoko.

“Kotoko fought very hard. We made all efforts to beat them but it didn’t happen. We had to fight from behind to draw with Kotoko. It was a tough match. The boys fought hard but the goals didn’t come and we split points”

“The problem is finishing. In Ghana, we have strikers but we don’t have finishers. They always run and mess up in the final third. I always work on my strikers just to improve on scoring” he said.
