Asante Kotoko have switched attention to luring Bechem United shot-stopper Abdulai Iddrisu ahead of the new season.

The imposing shot-stopper was imperious for his side in the just-ended season, helping his team to a 3rd place finish in the just-ended Ghana Premier League, which Kotoko won as well as losing finalist to Hearts of Oak in the MTN FA CUP.

Iddrisu capped off the season with an impressive 18 clean sheets, conceding 18 goals from 31 league games, which saw him bask 2 Man of the Match accolades for the season.

His performance has seen him earn a call-up to the  Black Galaxies who are feverishly prepared ahead of the crucial game to Benin.

Kotoko will hope to add Iddrisu to their already compact goalkeeping department, which boasts of Danlad Ibrahim, and Kwame Baah as they head to Africa to compete for honors in the CAF Champions League.
