Kotoko can’t even beat my junior team – Samuel Boadu

Hearts of Oak not thinking about the league title - coach Samuel Boadu

Hearts of Oak coach Samuel Boadu has ruffled Kotoko fans by suggesting that even if he fielded his second-string side the latter wouldn’t have been able to beat them.

Boadu, whose side was coming into this duel on the back of drawing Real Tamale United needed a win to boost their chances of closing the gap at the summit of the table.

According to Boadu, who was asked if today’s game against made his team come out all gun blazing to play above their weight levels, he proudly suggested that even if he had named his second-string side they wouldn’t have crumbled at Kotoko’s feet in such a high profile game.

“This was not one of our best game, our best game of the first round was against Legon Cities, if we had used our junior team( Auroras) against them today, Kotoko can still not score us.” He told pressmen after the game

The draw sees Kotoko open up a 7 point gap at the summit of the table and a 13 point gap adrift Hearts who settle for the  8th position on the log.

The second round of the league will resume on February 25, 2022, where the Porcupine Warriors will be at home to Dreams at the Baba Yara whiles Hearts of Oak will play Legon Cities.
