Ghana Premier League club Kotoko’s supremacy aided them to victory over Division One side Golden Kick FC on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Kwame Poku’s brace did the magic for the Porcupine Warriors as Blessing Ege’s consolation marked a consolation for Fiifi Hanson Parker’s side.

The Porcupine Warriors started the match with intense energy and were rewarded as Kwame Opoku rose highest to an Albert Amoah corner kick in the 16th minute.
Bless Ege’s brilliant free-kick leveled things up for his side in the 33rd minute to end the first half, 1-1.
With minutes to end the second half the game tied at 1-1. Kotoko was controversially awarded a penalty.
Kwame Opoku elected himself for the penalty kick as he confidently scored what turned out to be the winner of the game.
The win signals Kotoko’s first triumph in the FA Cup in eight years and qualification to the CAF Confederation Cup for the 2025/26 season.
