Minister for Sports and Recreation, Kofi Adams, has refuted claims linking him to reports that his outfit won’t pay the bonuses of the  Black Queens.

The Queens owed $9,500 per player have boycotted training over the past two days in an effort to get authorities to pay their bonuses from their 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) campaign in Morocco.

The Sports Minister met the players to resolve the impasse,, but reports alleged that he tasked the players to pack their luggage and vacate camp if they wouldn’t represent the country of which he has denied.

“Why would I say that? Why would I spend my time driving all the way to their camp and tell them they [Black Queens] can boycott if they want to.

“So this morning, we are shocked to see [the stories]. I may not blame them [players] entirely.”

He added: “If they [Black Queens] insist [by boycotting], it will affect the nation, but the nation will be back. But as for you, involved in the boycott, you will forever walk with that tag on you, I said so.” he told Asempa FM
