    The Black Stars of Ghana lost to South Korea in a friendly duel as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.



    Lee Tae-Seok’s header  to a perfectly weighted cross from Lee Kang-In in the second half proved decisive for the home side.

    Otto Addo was forced to ring a number of changes, Benjamin Asare, Alidu Seidu, Gideon Mensah, Kojo Pepprah Oppong, Prince Owusu, Christopher Bonsu Baah, and Prince Kwabena Adu were all given an opportunity to impress the technical team and Ghanaians.

    There was little to chose from between the two teams in the first half as it ended goaless.

    The game sprang to life as Lee Tae-Seok headed in a perfectly weighted cross from Lee Kang-In in the second half, which proved decisive for the home side.
    In between that, Prince Kwabena Adu also scored what proved to be a debut goal, but it was flagged as offside.
    Ben Asare saved Hwang Hee-Chang’s penalty 11 minutes laterto keep the scoreline by a lone goal.

    Otto Addo and the technical team will hope to salvage some positives despite back-to-back defeats in the Kirin Cup.
