The BetPawa Premier League 2022/23 season climaxed beautifully with Medeama SC being crowned champions but King Faisal, Kotoku Royals, and Tamale City were relegated.

Though there are scenes of happiness and excitement reverberating through the entire Tarkwa township and beyond the same cannot be said about other footballing areas in the country.

With Kotoku Royals confirmed relegated some weeks ago, only one of these clubs Great Olympics, King Faisal, and Tamale City FC could maintain their status in the league for the following season.

Match Preview and Prediction : RTU vs King Faisal

Great Olympics had the ball in their court heading into the final home game, they needed to win against Nsoatreman FC to safeguard their status in the league which they ultimately secured in a 2-1 victory at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena.

Meanwhile, Tamale City had a rather difficult task to pull off a win against, Medeama SC, who were inches away from securing their first league triumph in 14 years and the regions in 46 years.

King Faisal secured a win away from home to Real Tamale United but came a little late in their fight against relegation.

Four teams were promoted to the league this season, Nsoatreman FC, Samartex, Kotoku Royals, and Tamale City but the latter will have to do it the hard way to regain promotion back onto the league again.
