Kenyan Premier League side Gor Mahia has appointed Charles Kwablan Akonnor as their new head coach.
The Ghanaian signed a two-year deal until June 2027, and he is expected to take charge of the technical duties of the club.

He will be assisted by Bismark Kobi Mensah, who served as the coach of Bechem United and Karela United at his new club.

Another addition to the setup is Ben Owu as the goalkeeper’s trainer.
In a club statement released by Gor Mahia, they declared their happiness about this new appointment.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Charles Akonnor from Ghana as our new Head Coach. The former Black Stars manager brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned tactician. Welcome to Mahia, Coach Akonnor,” the club wrote on social media.

The record FKF Premier League champions will tap into Akonnor’s wealth of experience and international exposure to propel the club to greater heights.
He will have Enoch Morrison to help him acclimate to his new environment.
