Keep quiet and support the club – Togbe Afede XIV

Hearts of Oak Executive Chairman Togbe Afede XIV has tasked teeming supporters of the club in and around the world to wholeheartedly support the club in the heart of a trophy drought, as the top hierarchy takes steps to correct the situation it finds it’s self in presently.

The Ghanaian club have not been able to win any competition in the past decade raising lots of discontent within the club’s fanbase growing increasingly worried about the direction and future of the club under the current leadership of Togbe Afede.

But in a recent media interview at the unveiling of the team’s partnership agreement with StarLife Assurance, board chairman of Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak, Togbe Afede XIV has strongly remarked that together with others heavily investing their resources in the club suggest that, they have the club at heart just like the masses, who troop to the stadium to watch the club.

“They should also remember that they can’t love the club more than those who are spending money and their time”,

“Those noises don’t help the club. It took 30 years but Liverpool finally won the Premier League title. Genuine fans learn to support and appreciate what management is doing”,

“Negativity makes it hard to strike a relationship like this because nobody doesn’t want to be associated with a bad product. So they have a responsibility to support what we are doing”, he ended.

Hearts of Oak have signed some new players, Abednego Tetteh, Nuru Sulley, Ademola Kuti, Isaac Mensah ahead of the unconfirmed new season, it remains to be seen if the club can end their long absence for a Ghana Premier League trophy in 2020-21 league season.
