Kamaldeen Sulemana was impatient – Rennes coach Bruno Genesio

Stade Rennais manager, Bruno Genesio has suggested that Ghanaian winger Sulemana Kamaldeen was impatient at the club.

According to the Ligue 1 manager, Sulemana forced his way out of the French club but he insists the young footballer should have exercised patience at the club.

“There was also impatience because he is still a very young player. It still needs to be trained.

“He wanted to leave, it was not our case. But he wanted it so badly that at some point, it’s not worth keeping a player who doesn’t want to play for a club. I prefer to get a player who wants to come, who is motivated to play for his club.”

The 20-year-old forward swapped the Ligue 1 for the English Premier League as he joined Southampton on transfer deadline day in a four-and-a-half-year deal.

Sulemana battled with injuries at the club as he only made 47 appearances for his former club. He came on as a substitute in his last game against Lorient.
