Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has admonished Black Stars’ victory over South Korea as a big win ahead of their final group game against Uruguay in the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Black Stars raced to a two-goal lead in first half with goals from Mohammed Salisu and poster boy, Mohammed  Kudus to put them up 2-0.

The second half saw the Koreans peg their opponents back immediately in the second half with goals from two beautifully headed goals from forward, Gue-Sung Cho thereafter, Kudus slotted home the winner.

Speaking to reporters after the game, the Crystal Palace forward was full of praise for the collective teamwork the team put out there admonishing the win as an important one.

“The most important thing is that we got the three points. We scored two goals in the first half. We didn’t start the second half well but we grew into it and managed to score the third goal. We defended well. They gave us a tough time.”

“We have a very young team, very energetic. We the senior players, we try to motivate the younger ones every day and let them know that it’s the World Cup. I think the young ones that came on and the ones that started showed experience, composure and we the senior players are really pleased.” he ended.

Ghana will hope to pick all 3 points or a draw against familiar opponents, Uruguay in their last game to secure qualifications to the next round of the tournament.
