Joel Fameyeh scores in stoppage-time to rescue point for Rubin Kazan.

In the Russian Premier League match last Saturday,  Ghanaian striker for Rubin Kazan, Jjoel Fameyeh made a triumphant return from injury.

He emerged from the bench to salvage a point for Kazan, who were on the brink of defeat. Fameyeh netted the equalizing goal during the 2-2 draw against Dynamo Moscow at the Ak Bars Arena.

During the sixth round fixture, the hosts managed to take the lead just before halftime, with Kosovan forward Mirlind Daku successfully converting a penalty kick.

However, Dynamo Moscow managed to level the score early in the second half thanks to a goal from midfielder Denis Makarov. They then gained an advantage in the 74th minute through Dmitri Skopintsev.

Fameyeh, who replaced Daniil Kuznetsov in the 70th minute, played a pivotal role. In stoppage time, the 26-year-old Ghanaian scored a crucial header off a cross from Aleksandr Lomovitskiy, securing the draw for Kazan.

Joel Fameyeh’s impressive performance in the ongoing 2023-24 season is evident, having scored three goals in four matches in the Russian elite league.
