The primary mandate of the Player Status Committee is to ensure adherence to transfer regulations, aligning with both FIFA and GFA guidelines.

Specifically, the committee oversees compliance with FIFA’s Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, as well as the GFA Regulations concerning the Status and Domestic Transfer of Players, along with the Rules governing the Procedure of the GFA Players’ Status Committee.

An integral aspect of the committee’s responsibilities involves resolving disputes related to player status, employment, and contractual matters involving the GFA, member clubs, players, coaches, officials, intermediaries, and licensed match agents.

These disputes are adjudicated based on the GFA Statutes 2019 and relevant national legislation.

The committee operates within the framework of the GFA Statutes, FIFA Regulations on the status and transfer of players, GFA Regulations on the status and domestic transfer of players, and the rules governing the procedure of the GFA Players’ Status Committee.

With this experienced and dedicated team at its helm, the GFA reaffirms its commitment to ensuring equitable and transparent resolution of player status disputes, thereby upholding the integrity and fairness of Ghanaian football.
