The Black Queens of Ghana lost to Cote d’Ivoire in an international friendly on Tuesday night in Abidjan.
The game was geared towards putting the finishing touches to the team’s preparations ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The team earlier surrendered their lead to draw 3-3 with the Ivorians three days earlier.

In the repeat game, coach Kim decided to tweak the personnel by introducing Jennifer Cudjoe in midfield and Alice Kusi on the left wing with Portia Boakye as the captain of the side. l
The first half did not produce any goals despite both teams threatening on several counts for the opener.

The host found the the breakthrough in the 52nd minute which they held on to edge a win over the Black Queens.
Kim Lars Björkegren has superintended over 5 games, losing three, winning one, and drawing the other ahead of the WAFCON in Morocco.

The team has been housed in Group C alongside Mali, South Africa, and Tanzania.
The Black Queens will now return to Accra and later head to Morocco for the competition.
