Inter Allies stun Berekum Chelsea at home

Table-toppers Berekum Chelsea were given the shock of their lives when they lost at home to traveling Inter Allies by 3 goals to one in their own backyard.

The home side had lost their prior match, away to Elmina Sharks and needed to make sure that the home duel against Inter Allies will grant them some positive results at the Golden City Park.

As expected, the home side started the game brilliantly creating multiple chances which they failed to make good use off, Victorien Adebayor gave the away side a shock lead heading into the break. Three minutes after recess, Samuel Armah gave Inter Allies a two goals cushion but that lead was cut short in the 66th minute when Augustine Henneh wriggled his way past the defence of Inter Allies to shot one past the goalkeeper. With 6 minutes to end proceedings, the prolific Victorien Adebayor was on the score sheet again, a brace for the day, his 10th in 10 games and his clubs third on the day.

This marks a back-to-back loss for the Berekum side, who will be wondering what hit them in the last two weekends. They stay on top of the table pending other games on Sunday.

Berekum Chelsea will pick up the pieces when they travel next to Accra to play Great Olympics whiles Inter Allies will be riding high playing Medeama SC in the next fixture at home.
