    Assistant coach of Sudan, Ignatius Osei-Fosu, has declared his readiness to manage the senior national team, the Black Stars.

     



    Osei-Fosu partnered with Kwesi Appiah to mastermind, Sudan’s qualification for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

    They managed to secure 4 from 6 points off the BlackStars in two games which boosted their chances of securing qualification alongside table toppers, Angola in Group F for the 2025 AFCON.

    In a recent interview with 3 Sports, he expressed his intent to manage the BlackStars as he feels ready tactically.

    “I think I need to learn more from Kwesi Appiah. But if he says, ‘Ignatius, you’ve been with me for one year now, and the Black Stars are calling you, I think you’re ready,’ I will take the job because tactically, I am capable of handling the Black Stars,” he said.

    GFA’s ExCo is said to retain Otto Addo as head coach of the Black Stars despite their horrendous showing in the recent 2025 AFCON qualification series.
