Dr. Randy Abbey, chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, has stated that he is oblivious of any interest of players of Ghanaian descent looking to switch allegiance to Ghana.

This development comes after the Black Stars secured qualification for their FIFA World Cup to be staged in North America, with purported stories of players looking to play for the Black Stars.

The players being linked are Eddie Nketiah, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Francis Amuzu, who are said to have declared their intention of playing for Ghana.

Addressing the reports on Sporty FM, Abbey said, “Officially, I’m not aware of Eddie Nketiah showing interest in the Black Stars. It’s the same for Callum Hudson-Odoi and Francis Amuzu. I only read about it in the media.”

Amuzu, in recent interviews, has declared his preparedness to play for the Black Stars, but the England-based duo Nketia and Callum Hudson-Odoi will first need to switch allegiance to get a call-up to play for the Black Stars.
